I Subida al Castillo de Santa Bárbara (6-Junio-2010)

Short and sweet

Today’s run would be described as “short and sweet” not even three km. First we all met in the town hall square at 10:40. I think from A To Trapo we were about nine or ten people, Jorge, el santo job and me decided to run down to the town hall to warm up, about six km. nearly double the race.

The best thing about all the race was to know that we were at home in our Alicante town, in October we will all be looking forward to the half marathon. 11:00 on the dot the race begins I took about 14 minutes to get to the top but all the race was running up slopes and some of them were very steep and of course it was very hot and sunny.

Congratulations to Juan Carlos, he was first of our group and later David and Jorge and so on. Congratulations also to Pili who was the first woman runner.

It was a good race but everybody said it was too short, perhaps next year it could be six or seven km around the town and later up to the castle.

As our favourite English man says it has nice sharing with you this short experience in our way to the castle, at least we had not to take the car but running to the exit. NICE AND EASY.
